This is a lovely hotel, and we can't wait to come back! Everything is clean and well-maintained. The rooms are comfy, and having a bar is a nice touch. The staff here are wonderful and incredibly kind—they even provide wake-up calls and ironing at no extra cost. 😊.

The hotel's colonial-style decor added a touch of elegance to my stay, and the common areas were beautifully maintained. Being a senior, I appreciated the accessibility of the hotel, with wide hallways and conveniently placed handrails. It made moving around the premises much easier for someone like me.
The only thing I would have asked for is a slightly slower pace from the children working there. While they were friendly and helpful, at times their energy and haste made me feel a bit overwhelmed.

I got great value for my money at this lovely colonial hotel in the heart of the historic quarter. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the location was perfect for exploring the town. The staff treated me with kindness and even invited me to a posada during the Christmas season.
The only thing that could have made the morning meal better was if there were more vegetarian options available.

Looking for an affordable colonial-style stay in the heart of Popayán's historic quarter? Look no further than La Herrería Colonial. I recently stayed here for a few nights and was pleasantly surprised. They allowed me an early check-in and my room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and the hotel's location made it easy to explore the town's main attractions and top restaurants. Plus, the hotel offers parking in a quiet cul-de-sac nearby.
Can just recommend this hotel.

Our room was small but comfortable, with soft pillows for a good night's sleep. The breakfast served was satisfactory. We had a fantastic time visiting the nearby Parque Caldas with our youngest, who is only 3 years old. The playground was perfect for him, with swings, slides, and even a mini train ride. The atmosphere was family-friendly and we enjoyed spending quality time together in such a beautiful setting.
My wife says that it would have been great to have a small indoor play area for our older children, ages 10 and 12.
